Amber Jayanth - Reporter

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, but I am now proud to call Dayton home.

Before joining the ABC 22 and FOX 45 news team, I went to college at University of Central Missouri, where I earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. I then continued my studies at Lindenwood University, receiving a Master of Arts in Broadcast Digital Multimedia.

My first job was at KPLR in St. Louis where I worked as a Feature Reporter and an Associate Producer. During my time there I was nominated for a Regional Emmy.

I then headed to WMDT on  Maryland's Eastern Shore. There I worked as the Noon Anchor. I would also hit the streets to cover a story as a reporter and I would produce, many times all in the same day. It was a great challenge. During my three years there I won two AP awards. While living in Salisbury I covered the Seagull Century, an event that gathers cyclists all over the country while raising money for charity. I was quickly recruited and also became a cyclist, riding 100 miles across Delmarva for the Alzheimer's Association. That is a hobby I carried with me and I'm excited about hitting all the bike trails here in the Miami Valley.

I am proud to be the Morning Reporter for ABC 22/FOX 45. The hard-working staff and the dedication our team gives to break a story is what drew me to the station. I am happy to say I have my dream job. What I love most is that I never stop learning. Through my stories, my goal is to educate the public, empowering them with knowledge and the tools to be proactive within the community.

I always look forward to meeting my Miami Valley neighbors so if you see me out-and-about exploring, stop by and say hi.

You can see my reports weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on ABC 22 Good Morning and from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on FOX 45 In the Morning.

I would love to share your stories. If you have an interesting story idea, feel free to send me an email.

WKEF-TV ABC 22 News / WRGT-TV FOX 45 News :: News Team - Ann Reynolds

Ann Reynolds - Host

I'm a Dayton native and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Ohio University's Scripps Howard School of Journalism, majoring in Television Broadcast News. My high marks and work as an anchor, reporter and producer earned me top honors in my broadcast news class. I also lettered as a four-year OU Varsity Cheerleader, and received the Scholar/Athlete Award for graduating with the highest GPA.

After college, a career in broadcast was temporarily put on hold. I continued work with an agency as a commercial actress and model, as well as work as a Head Instructor, Judge and Choreographer for an international cheer and dance company, which kept me traveling. These wonderful opportunities seemed like they would be short-term, but lasted much longer than expected.

In addition, I was fortunate to spend many years as an NFL Cheerleader for the Cincinnati Bengals, serving as a Corner Captain, Cheer Coach, Rookie Coach, and a member of the select traveling Ben-Gal Show Team -- performing on USO tours state-side and overseas.

With my feet firmly planted back in the Miami Valley, I was thrilled to join FOX 45 and ABC 22 as a freelance feature host and reporter and assist with producing entertainment segments. You can catch me on most mornings talking about entertainment, businesses in our community, fun lifestyle ideas and hosting cooking segments. I am so happy to finally be back working in news and having the opportunity to meet so many people in the Miami Valley!

I continue to do some commercial and spokesperson work, and is thoroughly enjoying being the mom of two little boys. I'm very passionate about volunteer work with the Humane Society of Greater Dayton and as a Humane Society spokesperson, you will often see me on-air with an adorable pet looking for a forever home. I am also committed to working with the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation, and I host an annual event benefiting cancer research and assisting cancer patients, a cause that is very important to me after my mom's long battle with ovarian cancer.

Chris Mulcahy - Meteorologist

I am originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, but I've lived all over. I got my first green-screen experience at Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I graduated with a Bachelor's in Meteorology. From there I headed out to live with the corn in Sioux City, Iowa, to work for Channel 9 KCAU-TV. One Saturday night we actually had 30 tornadoes roll through our area over 5 1/2 hours!

Outside of the studio my biggest passion is writing songs and playing guitar. But I just love making the most out of every day! Random facts: I owned a goat in college, I enjoy flat soda, I am an only child, I may like Harry Potter a bit TOO much, baseball is my favorite sport (Go Reds and Red Sox) and I love entertaining people.

I love working in the mornings and starting the day with you. However, there is never a time that when the alarm goes off at 1:37 am (yes that is when I set it for) that getting up that early is a Top 10 favorite of mine! BUT, once I am out of bed - BOOM - I am ready to go!

I have wanted to be a meteorologist since I was 5 years old. In fact, my first library borrow was Thunderstorm for Kids. So I feel I am exactly where I should be right now. I am not always in the studio though. I am lucky I am able to go out and try new things for stories such as rappelling down the Key Bank building, sky diving, towel sledding and that is just the beginning.

I promise if you spend some time with me in the mornings I will make it far from boring.

Christian Hauser - Reporter

I'm originally from northern Kentucky, right across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in journalism, and a minor in political science.

I spent three years working for two different NBC stations in Montana. I couldn't have asked for a better place to start my news career. The scenery was incredible and the people were unforgettable. I covered everything under the sun during my time there.

I then went back to my hometown to work at the station I interned at during college, WCPO, in Cincinnati. I produced an hour of Good Morning Tri-State, and then would report on breaking news and traffic crashes. I also was proud to present the stations student of the week awards during the school year.

I am pleased to be back in front of the camera reporting full-time in Dayton. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

If you have any story ideas or know of something in the community we should be aware of feel free to get in touch with me.

Deborah Linz - Anchor

First let me say, its an honor to come into your homes every evening and bring you the news of the day.  I grew up in Olney, Maryland, went to college at Virginia Tech (yes, I'm a proud Hokie!) and am now fortunate to call Ohio home.

Like many people in the news business, I have worked in a number of TV markets including Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and most recently Charleston, W.Va., where I anchored the evening news for more than 10 years.  I was honored by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association and Associated Press to win Best Anchor a total of 12 times. I also took home an EMMY for a series of reports I did on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I'm also a strong animal advocate and my news coverage of several animal cruelty and neglect cases in West Virginia eventually led to several changes in local and state laws. Here in Dayton I'm on the board for the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. I also do weekly reports on Keeping Families Safe as part of our Fighting Back franchise every Wednesday night on FOX 45 News at 10 pm and on ABC 22 at 11 pm

I am married with two crazy kids. My son, Colby, is 9 and likes Legos, soccer and gymnastics and my 6-year old daughter, Samantha, is into princesses, theater and gymnastics as well.

When I'm not hanging out with the hubby and kiddos, I enjoy traveling, reading books on the beach and cycling and jogging for exercise.

I look forward to connecting with more of our loyal viewers and if anyone has a great story to tell you can reach me by email, Facebook or Twitter. Can't wait to hear from you!

Erik Elken - Anchor

Good morning! Since joining the FOX 45 news team in May 2014 as Sports Director, I have made the move to the morning anchor chair alongside Meghan Mongillo. I am excited to help you get your day started, even though it means my old bed time is now the time my alarm goes off. In addition to my duties on the morning show, you will still see me covering various sporting events, including UD basketball, Ohio State football, Bengals and Reds. I am excited for this expanded role both in the mornings and in sports.

I came to Dayton from Eugene, Oregon, where I was a Sports Anchor/Reporter at KEZI-TV covering the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers. While there, I spent extensive time traveling throughout Pac-12 country covering Oregon football, including its run to a 2013 Fiesta Bowl win. I also covered Oregon's back-to-back NCAA Tournament runs, the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials and learned Phil Knight knows how to spend a few bucks on new athletic facilities.

Prior to my time in the Pacific Northwest, I was a play-by-play announcer in the Northeast. I served as the voice of the Tri-City ValleyCats (Class A Short Season Affiliate of the Houston Astros) in 2011.

Born in New Jersey and raised in Albany, New York, I'm a proud graduate of Syracuse University (Go Orange!), where I earned degrees in both Broadcast Journalism and Sport Management. If you ask me about Dayton's big upset of Syracuse in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, I won't know what you're talking about.

I enjoy spending my free time skiing, at the gym, traveling and, of course, watching and playing sports.

Feel free to send me a story idea or just say hello by email, Twitter or Facebook.

I'm excited about being back in Dayton. Growing up in the Miami Valley and graduating from Centerville High School are experiences I wouldn't trade for anything. From Centerville I went on to graduate from Ball State University. In case you didn't know that's the same alma mater as David Letterman, Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield, and John Schnatter, the founder of Papa Johns pizza.
While I was in college I also interned in the sports department here at ABC 22 and FOX 45. After graduating from Ball State I was excited to start my career in nearby Lima, Ohio, at WLIO as a sports reporter and anchor.
I love the Miami Valley, especially because of Wright-Patt, which is what brought me to the area. My father served in the Air Force and because of that I was very fortunate in getting to travel and live in many different places. Ive lived from Virginia all the way to California and even across the pond in Germany and England.
I love any and all sports so please feel free to find me on Facebook, Twitter or e-mail.

I’m from Smyrna, Tennessee, which is about 20 miles southeast of Nashville. I fell in love with news in the eighth grade when I was asked to anchor my school's first morning announcements. I was hooked from the first day.

I joined the ABC 22/FOX 45 news team after graduating from Ball State University in May with Bachelors degrees in Journalism and Telecommunications. While in school I worked for Indiana Public Radio as both a reporter and a Board Operator. My favorite NPR shows are Fresh Air and Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me.

Outside of the newsroom, I was a punter for Ball State's Division I football team for four years, lettering my senior year. I was also the President of Mortar Board, Ball State's senior honor society and a member of the honors college.

If I happen to have any extra time, I tend to spend it on a disc golf course. I fell in love with the game during college and hope to eventually play in all 50 states.

I am excited to become part of the Dayton community and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Please reach out to me with any story ideas you may have, and if you see me outside of work feel free to say hello!

I love telling stories and am excited to be reporting back in my home state of Ohio!

Before coming back to the Buckeye State, I most recently worked at KIEM in Humboldt Bay, California. There, I worked every job in our small newsroom: Reporter, Anchor, Producer and Photographer. I've reported from the middle of wildfires, I've interviewed gang members in California's highest security prison, and I broke national news after a local surfer had his stomach ripped open by a great white shark! I've also been in more of my fair share of earthquakes. California taught me so much about myself as a journalist, and I'm hoping to learn even more from the people of the Miami Valley.

Before heading to California, I graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University (Go Bobcats!) I worked for both WOUB-TV and the local Government Access Channel in Athens when I wasn't in class.

When I'm not at work, I'm traveling and doing anything to get outside!

Contact me any time.

I am an Emmy award-winning journalist, with more than a decade of on-air experience. As the National Correspondent for Sinclair Broadcast Group, I report on the top political stories of the day along with investigative reports on government waste, fraud and abuse.

Prior to joining the Sinclair news team, I was the White House Correspondent for RT America.  I covered the 2010 and 2012 elections both on the road and in Washington, and anchored nightly newscasts on RT for three years as well. Also during my time at RT, I reported extensively on the impact of hydraulic fracturing -- or fracking -- in Pennsylvania, as well as the tragic rate of teen suicide on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

I was born and raised in San Diego, Calif., where I also worked for four years as a general assignment reporter, working for the Fox affiliate (XETV) as well as the NBC affiliate (KNSD) where I received an Emmy for coverage of the Wildfires of 2007.

I got my on-air start working in beautiful Savannah, Georgia, at WJCL/WTGS, where I worked as the political reporter, covering City Council and County Commission. I also traveled to Gulfport, Mississippi, to cover the damage and devastation from Hurricane Katrina.

I love living in the Washington, D.C., area and covering politics. I spend my free time traveling, reading and going on adventures with my black lab, Chomsky.

I'm happy to be back in the Miami Valley where my career in broadcasting began! A native Clevelander, I'm a graduate of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, where I was a Telecommunications major.  My first full-time job in broadcasting was years ago at WING-AM here in Dayton as a radio news anchor/reporter.  Since then I've held television reporter and anchor positions in Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, St. Louis and Dallas. Working in television news has given me a front seat to history.  Over the years, I have covered a number of notable news stories including World Series games, a Super Bowl, a Papal visit, Presidential appearances and the tragedy of the space shuttle Columbia.

In addition to working hard in my career as a broadcast journalist, I've also been very active in my church.  I was privileged to travel to Kenya as part of a church mission trip to assist in the video documentation of the congregation’s mission efforts.  I visited poor, slum areas in Nairobi, traveled to bush regions without clean water or electricity and met patients stricken with AIDS.  It was an unforgettable, life-changing experience.

I'm a long-time member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  When not reporting around the Miami Valley, I enjoy family time with my husband and kids.

Good Morning! Being a morning news anchor, I feel like Im always saying that and I mean it. Ive always been an early riser and enjoy spending my mornings with you.

Im very familiar with Southwest Ohio. Before coming to Dayton, I worked in Cincinnati as a morning reporter/anchor at FOX 19. I also worked as a reporter in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at WANE-TV and WHIZ in Zanesville, Ohio.

I grew up in the small town of Columbiana, Ohio, just south of Youngstown. Im one of four daughters -- and yes, my parents say we were a handful.

College took me to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Robert Morris University, where I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Communications.

I was also a four-year starter for the RMU women's volleyball team. I still play a lot of volleyball and enjoy all types of sports and being outdoors. But I also love cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.

My most memorable news story is one that I not only covered, but also became involved in: I was reporting live from a crime scene where a young woman had been raped and robbed. As we were breaking down our equipment to leave, I noticed a pair of earrings on the ground. The investigators had already left, so I scooped them up with my script (careful not to touch them - I watch too many cop shows) and took them to the Sheriff's Office. It turns out they belonged to the victim and had the suspect's DNA on them! I later testified at the trial and the man was convicted.

Im happy to be part of the Miami Valley and the morning news team. Hopefully, I can put a smile on your face each morning, too.

You can see me on the anchor desk weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on ABC 22 'Good Morning' and from 7 to 9 a.m. on FOX 45 'In the Morning'.

Mike Joyce - Meteorologist

My love of weather began when I was four years old, when I would head out to our open garage door to look at incoming thunderstorms. I would always keep a local TV meteorologist on at the same time, and track the storm with him. Since then, I knew I wanted to be on TV, warning the community of any upcoming weather danger.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue my career in the Miami Valley! I am an Ohioan all around. I was born in Cleveland and moved to Mansfield when I was five, where I lived until heading farther down I-71 to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. Go Bucks!

After college, I moved back home to Mansfield to work for WMFD-TV, presenting the forecast at noon and in the evening five days a week. Months later, I was given the opportunity to head to WFMJ-TV in Youngstown, where I covered the evening weather shift every other weekend, while still working in Mansfield. It was a blast, but definitely a crazy life for a few months before leaving Mansfield to work in Youngstown in a permanent position. I left WFMJ in January of 2015 to join ABC 22 and FOX 45.

When I’m not at work, I still love tracking storms. Occasionally, I’ll head out in the car to chase severe weather. I have experience chasing in the Great Plains, and I was only a mile away when an EF-5 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma, on May 20th, 2013.

Outside of weather, I like traveling, trying new restaurants, playing video games, and riding all of the fantastic roller coasters at Kings Island and Cedar Point.

I’m an Ohio sports guy! Obviously, I bleed Scarlet and Gray, but, I come from a big Cleveland sports family, so I love my Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. We’ll get a championship some day!

Despite this, I will cheer on the Reds when they’re not playing the Indians. I’ll support the Bengals as well, especially when they’re playing Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

Hello Dayton! I am so excited to be a part of the morning news team here in Ohio bringing you all the latest about your morning commute.

I am a born and raised LA Native, so  this whole concept of winter is a bit foreign! But I am always down for a good adventure.

I attended Loyola Marymount University in the coastal LA area of Playa Del Rey, and then pursued my Masters in Journalism from The University of Miami, Coral Gables. (Let’s Go CANES). Upon my return to Los Angeles, I began working for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider. Five years later, here I am!

I started as a talent assistant, and eventually graduated to the role of producing packages, field producing, and used my on-air talent for a local website. During my years at ET I traveled the world, covered the red carpets of the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys, and numerous red carpet events. I am a huge sports fan so the high light of my year was always a week-long trip to The Super Bowl. Adding to my love of sports, I worked 3 years of FOX College football and the NCAA Pac 12 tournaments.

In my off time I love a good physical challenge. Every year, I complete the Baltimore Half Marathon with my best friend, although I wish we just went on fun trips to Jamaica, there is something so fulfilling about finishing the race together every year.

I come from a big family, of mostly boys which has made me one tough cookie, and one obnoxiously competitive person. Wouldn’t change it for the world!

Although, I am a sunshine kid from California, I am looking forward to what Ohio has to offer. The one thing I do know, I won’t have any lack of College Football in my life. How about them Buckeyes, eh?

I returned to the ABC 22/FOX 45 family in April 2014. I most recently worked at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati after nearly 20 years as an Anchor/Reporter at WHIO-TV in Dayton. I began my career as an Anchor/Reporter at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee, and held similiar positions in Rockford, Illinois, and at WKEF-TV, the then-NBC affiliate here in Dayton.

I graduated from Johnson C. Smith University and hold a Master of Arts degree from The Ohio State University. I've won several awards, including an Emmy for the 2001 Xenia tornado. I was also named Best Reporter for a medium market by the Associated Press and was honored by the Associated Press for a homelessness investigation, which led to policy changes in the city of Dayton. I was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists for the same homelessness investigation and nominated for an Emmy for an investigation that exposed hidden germs in swimsuits.

I have been active in the Dayton community for more than 20 years, serving on various boards, committees and volunteering to help dozens of charities raise much-needed funds for good causes.

I am a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Greater Dayton Association of Black Journalists, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and an active member of Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. I'm mentoring several aspiring journalists, and hope to inspire others, females in particular to pursue the job I love.

I'm an avid runner and have completed more than a dozen marathons. I received an Honorary Doctorate from Wilberforce University in May 2008. I've been married to a wonderful Daytonian for more than 20 years. Joey D. Williams Sr., a banker and elected member of the City Commission, and I have two teenage sons, Joey Jr. and Jordan Maximus, who keep us hopping with various sports teams. I'm also an avid golfer and we enjoy playing many of the beautiful courses in the Miami Valley. If you see me around town say hi. If you have a story idea email me.

I first want to say it's an honor to work in the Miami Valley as ABC 22 and FOX 45's weekend anchor/reporter. I am an Ohio native and grew up in Northeast Ohio. I'm from an area now referred to as the rust belt, which is Youngstown. Dayton reminds me a lot of home, which is why I think I love this area and the hard-working blue collar people who live here.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in journalism. I am a true Buckeye fan, and bleed scarlet and gray. I love sports in general, but to be honest, I am not at all athletic.

While an Ohio native, I have worked at several stations in my career as a journalist. I started my career earlier than most. My senior year of college I was already working in my field. I had the privilege of working at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio. I couldn't have asked for a better place to start my career, and better people to work with. After leaving Columbus, I moved out of state for the first time in my life. I was fortunate enough to get a morning anchor position at a small station in Winchester, Virginia. If you've ever been in the area, it is absolutely stunning.

I recently got married and we have three incredible dogs. I am an animal lover, and some might think I go a little overboard when it comes to my furry friends. But I figure I can spoil them until I have kids.

While not at work, I love reading, spending time with my family and on occasion, traveling.

I am a proud part of our station's Fighting Back franchise. We are highlighting how people in the community are fighting back against the crime in their neighborhood. You can watch my reports Monday through Thursday nights. We are always looking for story ideas so please feel free to contact me with any!

Jeff Booth - Meteorologist

Hi, I'm the Chief Meteorologist here at ABC 22/FOX 45 and have called Dayton home since June 2009. I'm a full member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and I've earned the seal of approval from both organizations.

I grew up in Columbus but I've called many places home because my career has taken me all over the country. After working in radio I got my first full-time job in television at WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, West Virgina, reporting and doing weather on the weekends (actually I did everything other than sports on those weekend shows).

I got the chance to move back to Ohio when my wife was pregnant with our second child in the summer of 2003 when I took a job doing weather five days a week at WLIO-TV in Lima. Despite the lack of sleep I had a lot of fun up in West Central Ohio but when I had a chance to move to the Aloha State I jumped at it.

Moving to Hawaii was a scary but exciting adventure and I spent almost five years there enjoying the beach, learning to surf and eating all sorts of delicious food from all over the world.  I started out doing weather on the weekends and reporting for KGMB-TV but in September 2007 we launched the morning show "Sunrise" and I was happy to fill the role of morning meteorologist/traffic anchor. We enjoyed a lot of success on "Sunrise" and I loved living in paradise but when my wife and I learned we were going to have our third child we decided it was time to "grow up" and move back home.

We love living in the Miami Valley and our three daughters do as well. My wife and I met in college and we're both graduates of Ohio University (go Bobcats!).

I got my first experience in TV while living in Athens when my roommate and I had a public access TV show. I won't get into the specifics but I'm happy to say that those programs are lost to history - I don't know if my kids could ever look at me the same if they got a hold of an old tape.

One of the things I love about my job is the fact that I get to meet so many interesting people. I do a lot of school talks and love seeing the look on the kids' faces when I tell them what goes into being a meteorologist and working in television. If you ever see me around stop and say "hi" or if you ever have a weather question find me on Facebook or Twitter. You can also read my blog "Inside the Broadcast Booth" where I'll discuss everything from the day's weather to my love of Star Wars. Thanks for watching and take it easy!

I'm proud of my "exclusives" with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and former South African President Nelson Mandela. I interviewed many other political leaders: Colin Powell, former President Jimmy Carter, former first lady Barbara Bush, John Kerry, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Jesse Jackson and others. While in Memphis I took a personal tour on Air Force One and Air Force Two.

I have interviewed many athletes and entertainers, including Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Walter Payton, Andre Agassi, legendary Cowboys coach Tom Landry, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Cowboys players Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, "Too Tall" Jones and Jay Novacek, members of The Big Red Machine, Dave Chappell, Susan Sarandon, Tony Bennett, Billy Ray Cyrus, B.B. King, Earl Woods (Tiger's dad), John Travolta, Joaquin Phoenix, Angela Bassett, Fabio, Bernie Mac, Harry Belafonte and many more.

In Memphis, I reported on the Jonesboro, Arkansas, school shootings and covered from beginning to end the West Memphis murders. That case made national news and became an HBO documentary. I appeared on the Sally Jesse Raphael talk show discussing a Memphis story that made national news.

In 2001, I returned home and rejoined ABC 22/FOX 45. Ive  covered everything from breaking news to sports to community events. I helped viewers with consumers problems with my weekly segment "Help Me Rhonda" and with my weekly segment "Eat at Your Own Risk," which spotlighted local restaurants.

I'm a proud Daytonian. I love working in my hometown and being around family. I love sports, the arts, music, festivals, live concerts and other fun things in the Miami Valley.

I'm a member of the Greater Dayton Association of Black Journalists and very active in the Miami Valley. I serve as mistress of ceremonies for many events and participate in an annual journalism "boot camp" teaching high school and college students about broadcast journalism. I love playing tennis, golf, jogging, exercising and watching sports, especially football. I'm the #1 Dallas Cowboys fan.

You can catch my reports weekdays on ABC 22 Good Morning and FOX 45 In the Morning.
