Wright State Routs Youngstown State 13-1 Saturday
FAIRBORN -- Wright State's 5-run first inning helped spark a decisive 13-1 win in the second game of a three game series against Youngstown State.
The Raiders trailed 1-0 but reeled off 13 unanswered runs to roll to a win.
Centerville grad Sean Murphy got things going for Wright State with a RBI double in the second and then scored along with Michael Timm on a two base throwing error.
Kenton Ridge grad Luke Mamer pitched seven innings and didn't allow an earned run while strikingout five in a winning effort.
Mark Fowler and Timm each had three hits for Wright State.
The Raiders and Penguins play Sunday 4/12/15 with the winner also claiming the series victory.
